Hipposerve® Mail – Acceptable Use Policy
Introduction
By using Hipposerve® Mail (the “Service”), you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”), which forms part of our overall Terms and Conditions.
This policy exists to protect the integrity, security, and reputation of our mail infrastructure and all users who rely upon it. Compliance with both the spirit and the letter of this policy is mandatory.
Any capitalised terms not defined here shall have the meaning given to them in our Terms and Conditions.
1. Prohibited Uses
1.1 Lawful Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Service:
- In any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- For any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading purpose.
- To facilitate or conceal criminal activity.
1.2 Unsolicited and Bulk Email
The Service must not be used for:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (“spam”).
- Mass mailing, bulk campaigns, or mailing lists without verifiable, explicit recipient consent.
- Email marketing, cold outreach, lead generation, or newsletter distribution unless explicitly authorised in writing by Hipposerve®.
- Use of purchased, scraped, harvested, or third-party email lists.
1.3 Reputation and Abuse
You must not use the Service in any manner that may:
- Cause IP address blacklisting.
- Damage sender reputation.
- Trigger abuse complaints, spam reports, or block-listing.
- Result in service degradation for other customers.
1.4 Harmful or Offensive Content
You must not send, upload, or transmit any material that:
- Is defamatory, obscene, abusive, threatening, or hateful.
- Promotes violence, terrorism, or extremism.
- Promotes discrimination based on race, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or disability.
- Contains malware, viruses, trojans, spyware, or malicious code.
2. Identity, Location, and Verification
2.1 Accurate Information
You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when creating and maintaining your account. This includes:
- Legal name and contact details.
- Billing address.
- Payment method ownership.
2.2 Mismatched or Inconsistent Details
Hipposerve® reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Service if:
- The account holder name does not match the billing or payment method.
- The billing address does not reasonably align with the declared country of use.
- Contact details appear false, misleading, or unverifiable.
2.3 VPNs, Proxies, and Location Masking
Use of VPNs, proxies, TOR, or other location-masking technologies in connection with account creation, access, or use of the Service may be treated as a fraud or abuse risk.
Where provenance, origin, or user location cannot be reliably established, Hipposerve® reserves the right to:
- Restrict functionality.
- Request additional verification.
- Suspend or terminate the Service.
3. Monitoring and Enforcement
3.1 Monitoring
Hipposerve® may monitor usage patterns, sending behaviour, complaint rates, and technical indicators to protect the Service and its infrastructure.
3.2 Enforcement Actions
Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may, without notice:
- Suspend or limit email sending.
- Disable mailboxes or domains.
- Terminate the Service.
- Terminate all services associated with the account.
3.3 Termination Without Refund
In cases of abuse, fraud, misrepresentation, reputation damage, or policy violations, Hipposerve® reserves the absolute right to:
- Cancel the Service immediately.
- Close the account permanently.
- Withhold refunds, in full or in part.
3.4 Suspected Fraudulent Payments
Where Hipposerve® reasonably suspects that a payment may be fraudulent, unauthorised, or subject to dispute, we reserve the right to:
- Withhold provisioning of the Service.
- Suspend or delay activation of any mailboxes, domains, or related services.
- Restrict account access pending investigation.
In such circumstances, no refund will be issued while an investigation is ongoing with the relevant payment processor, card issuer, or financial institution.
Hipposerve® will act in accordance with the outcome of the investigation and reserves the right to permanently terminate the Service where fraud is confirmed or strongly indicated.
4. Responsibility and Indemnity
You are solely responsible for all content sent using the Service and for all activity carried out under your account.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hipposerve® from any claims, losses, damages, or costs arising from your use of the Service or breach of this policy.
5. Policy Updates
This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the latest version.

7. Mailbox Storage Limits
7.1 Storage Quotas
Each mailbox is subject to a defined storage limit as specified at the time of purchase.
Once the allocated mailbox storage limit is reached:
- Incoming emails may be rejected or undeliverable.
- New messages may not be received until space is freed.
7.2 Customer Responsibility
It is your responsibility to manage mailbox storage by deleting messages, archiving data, or purchasing additional storage.
7.3 Additional Storage
Additional mailbox storage may be purchased in accordance with our current pricing, as listed under Additional Charges on our website.
Hipposerve® accepts no responsibility for lost or undelivered emails resulting from exceeded mailbox storage limits.
The suspension or withholding of services under this policy does not constitute a breach of contract where such action is taken to prevent fraud, abuse, or infrastructure harm.
